Sunset Coastal Cottage

Perfect Getaway!

Perfect little cottage right across the street from the beach. Quiet, walking distance (2 blocks) to ships and restaurants. Cheryl was the perfect host helping us find great food, things to do, and making sure all was great for our stay. We had time to walk the beach, bike around Pass-a-grille, chill, and enjoy live music on the beach. Great for couples getaway or family vacation!

Great location!

Walk right across the street to the beach and just about a block and a half to all that this little gem of a town has to offer! So charming. Lots of extras in this cute little place like coffees, even creamer in the fridge along with waters and condiments if you choose to cook or grill out. Stayed in the front unit and enjoyed watching sunsets. Will stay again!

Spotless and Bright!

What an amazing cottage and location. Was exactly what we needed. Beach is literally right across the street and many shops and restaurants within walking distance which we loved. The walkability of this location is great for dog walking and never having to drive while you are on vacation. Cheryl and Hobart where both so nice and had wonderful suggestions on where to eat. But the kitchen had everything and more that you would need to make a fantastic meal if you are into cooking. In fact the whole cottage had way more than any place we have stayed at. They really have thought of everything. If you are looking to escape to a quiet and tranquil place with beach across the street this is the place to be. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful cottage with us and our fur baby, Gus.“

My Wife and I stayed the weekend for our first anniversary. We had a wonderful time. Cheryl was very accommodating, made sure we had everything we needed, and had many suggestions for activities and places to eat. The unit itself was pretty small, but honestly it was all we needed. Most of our time was spent on the beach which was directly across the street, or at one of the restaurants within walking distance. Our car stayed parked the entire weekend. It was really nice!

We had a great week in Pass-a-Grille. Cheryl was helpful and attentive from beginning to end. The property is small but very comfortable and quiet (new windows, new AC) even on windy days. This is a very charming rental. It is directly across from beautiful Pass-a-Grille Beach. We love PAG beach because it is a short width beach. You don't have to walk a long distance to put your feet in the gulf! Our pets were very comfortable and enjoyed the dog beach, which is a few blocks away! The restaurants and shops are only 2 blocks away. We did not have to drive anywhere! We are St. Pete locals and know the areas very well. PAG beach is our favorite, very quiet and relaxing! “The location was prime”

The location was absolutely spectacular. Cheryl is amazing, she met us personally, let us in and showed us around. We were both exhausted from a very long week but she is wonderful. Being a dog owner herself, Cheryl was excellent with our dogs, which is something a dog owner appreciates when taking their little furbabies away with them. This cozy one bedroom place was exactly what we needed. The location was prime, excellent walking distance to the dog beach, directly across the street from the beach and boy it was so nice to have a parking spot right out front. We went on several long walks every day with our pups. It was on the main road but it was QUIET. The front porch was great, always with a beautiful breeze and the sound of the waves crashing on the shore. We are not out late kind of people, which made Pass-a-Grille the right place for us but even if you are and want to get downtown, there is ample transportation right around the corner. I enjoyed it so much, I booked it again. This time for two weeks. Ample kitchen space for two people and for extended stays, it is wonderful to do the dishes while watching the sun glisten on the gulf of Mexico. Loved it and counting down the days to get back.

“Beautiful place!”

This was our first time staying in Pass-a-Grille. We've stayed at St Pete before on the other side of the Don, so I was a little unsure what the area would be like. It's such a unique place. The "finger" of land the home is located on is only about 3 or 4 blocks wide, so going from the bay to the ocean is literally a hop, skip, and a jump. You can go to the bay side in the mornings to watch the sunrise, and sit on the beach side in the evenings to watch the sunset. Such a beautiful view of both, too! The beach is literally steps from the front porch - right across the street. The downtown area really is a short walk from the home and there's so much to do there. Many little restaurants and quaint bars/pubs. Rooftop seating with beautiful views of either the bay or the ocean. And the home is wonderful. They're in the midst of doing some work, but the workers were at a standstill for the weekend, so it worked out for us. We were in town for my husband's high school reunion and most of the festivities were in downtown St Pete. We were a short drive from all of the events, but were able to enjoy the beautiful sights and relaxing beach in this wonderful home. My only regret is that I was not able to meet Cheryl before we left. She made our arrival and stay so easy and took so much care to make sure we had everything we might need. A top notch stay in a top notch location!

“Nicest beach location / beach house.”

This beach home was perfectly located in Pass A Grille Beach! A block from the little downtown with all the cafes, restaurants and a few bars, etc. the beach just steps out your front door is the best location in Pass a Grille, most private. Pass-a-Grille Beach Condo

The greatest summer and fall of our lives!

My family spent the summer and fall of 2017 at this fantastic condo on St. Pete Beach and we had an absolute blast! We'd sold our home last year and were looking for a short term rental while our new home was being built. Luckily a friend suggested that instead of some stuffy apartment complex, we should consider something more adventurous. My wife and I have two boys, 10 & 8 years old, as well as a yellow lab. We were looking for a place that could handle us all comfortably. My wife came across this listing on St Pete Beach and it was a perfect fit. The condo has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, a great living room, and a well-appointed kitchen. The boys shared the back bedroom which has two twin beds. We took the master, which left the third bedroom for guests (who came out of the woodwork when they found out we were living in such a great beach condo). We'd put everything in storage except our clothes and found everything we needed already in place. The view from the patio was spectacular. We loved to sit out there and grill awesome seafood or kebabs from Shaner's Land and Sea Market down the way. Robert's electric grill worked great. The condo is beautifully located, just south of the Don Cesar. My boys and I loved to walk over to Uncle Andy's Ice Cream Parlor. It's also a bike ride or a quick drive away from some great restaurants in Pass-a-Grille. We had so much fun walking down to the beach every evening for sunset (though you do have a perfect view of them from the balcony). The beach out front is very wide and beautiful and it's one of the quietest spots on the beach. It almost feels like your own private beach. We were there during sea turtle hatching season and actually got to see up two nests hatch up close. What an awesome experience for the kids (hint: watch the turtle watchers – they know when and where to go, but it still requires a lot of patience and luck). We ended up staying a couple of months longer than originally planned. Robert and Cheryl are such nice people and are very easy to work with. We will always treasure the summer and fall we spent in this condo. Treat yourself like we did – you will not be disappointed.

MY SECOND YEAR IN A ROW HERE!

Perfect location. Fantastic view and very private. No fighting the traffic on Gulf Blvd to get here but yet theres no shortage of restaurants and beach bars just a short distance away if you choose. You can hear the sound of the surf from the lanai or on a warm night you can sleep with the door to the master bedroom open and listen to the surf. Lots of room in the unit and a great washer and dryer. I felt completely safe at all times in this area. The owners Robert and Cheryl always responded immediately to any questions or issues I had.

Ocean, stars, fire, food and wine - what more could you want?!

This was our second stay at this property and we quickly remembered why. The location is truly unmatched. The home is perched on an oceanfront bluff with an amazing fire pit patio perfect for taking in the sights and sounds of the sea and skies (day and night...with beautiful sunsets and especially bright stars with no light pollution). You can't get much closer to the ocean while still nestled safely above crashing waves. Likewise, you have easy walk-on access to an uncrowded dog-friendly beach next to the property...stroll north for tide pools or south for a long sandy stretch perfect for morning runs. We love this charming coastal community that really showcases the Sonoma Coast with its combination of dramatic sea cliffs/rock formations and sandy beaches on one side of the PCH and rolling green hills, farmland and happy cows on the other. You'll definitely appreciate all of the local farms and fisherman as you explore outstanding local eateries from Jenner to Bodega Bay and everywhere inland and in between...and you are near world class wineries in and around the Russian River valley. Cheryl was super-responsive and available for questions and check-in/check-out (though no in-person contact needed). We look forward to future stays!

The beach is literally steps away which was perfect for us with our little one as we didn't have to worry about bringing too much stuff with us since we could run home for lunch and naps. My heart broke when we had to check out because we were all so happy there. Which just means we will be back! Another bonus - the host Cheryl was a great communicator and so very helpful. She made sure we had what we needed and gave us great recommendations. I don't think I've ever stayed with a nicer more helpful host.

Perfect Weekend Getaway

We stayed three nights in this property early August and was the perfect weekend getaway. The views are spectacular! We hiked on the many accessible trails close by that provided a way to burn off some of the amazing food we ate. The beach is literally a one minute walk from the house. We spent a lot of time on the amazing deck just soaking up the views and fresh air. We made a fire every night and enjoyed the sunset while making smores and sipping wine. We even saw whales one night. The host was very easy to work with and truly cared about our stay and provided great recommendations of where to eat and play! I would highly recommend this property and host!

Even better than expected

Cheryl’s house is literally on a cliff overlooking the ocean and steps from the beach. Cheryl was one of the bests hosts we’ve had, checking in with us, making suggestions on pet friendly restaurants and even IT troubleshooting (everything worked great, ends up I am the problem). The view off the back deck feels like Amalfi but off the front, you feel like you are in a different world looking out over cow pastures. Feels like a movie set all around. We’d love to return.

A rare jewel. Charming cottage directly on the ocean.

Such a special place. Most people don’t know how hard it is to find a cottage directly on the ocean in California. It’s truly rare, and that’s just part of what sets this Bodega Bay-area cottage apart from other vacation rentals. The cottage sits on a bluff above a wonderful dog friendly beach that’s never crowded, and with the doors and windows open, the sounds and smells of the ocean are everywhere. While the back of the cottage faces CA-1, we never heard a passing car, and the position on the hilltop blocks the view of road and gives the illusion that the pasture across the street is right in your back yard. The owners have tastefully furnished the cottage in a comfortable, California beach-style. Everything you need is there. The cottage is minutes from Bodega Bay for those who prefer to eat out, or if you’re like us and just want to pick up some fresh fish to take home and enjoy cooking yourself. There is also a large, well-stocked Safeway 30 minutes away in Guerneville, a good place to stock up if your exploring the nearby Russian River. The variety of hiking and beach trails is great, and the proximity to the mountains is a nice respite or good way to split the day. Cheryl, the owner, was a delightful host, even from far away, and was in touch before and during our visit to make sure we had all the recommendations we were looking for and that everything was in order on arrival. Very attentive and helpful, but not the least bit intrusive. I felt that I could reach out at anytime if I needed to. We’ll definitely be back!

Great getaway spot on the coast

The highlight of this property is that it is literally right on the ocean. We loved sitting out on the patio listening to the waves crashing on the shore and watching the birds and beachgoers in the daytime and the stars at night. Used the fire pit one night which was terrific. We kept the master bedroom sliding door open slightly at night to hear the ocean sounds. The hostess Cheryl was very helpful up front with recommendations for local sights and check-in process and she stayed in touch during our visit to make sure everything was going well. We were missing kitchen garbage bags upon check-in and we offered to pick some up, but she sent her cleaning person over with several bags within an hour of our inquiry. Master bathroom is quite small but manageable. Kitchen was well stocked. Dog friendly beach is located next to the property. If you want a true coastal getaway, check this place out!

Breathtaking view, cozy and unique.

The cottage on the hilltop overlooks the ocean where all sizes of black boulders resist the waves and seem to take on old-soul personalities. It is more an experience than a place. The cool winds blowing in from the ocean are powerful and cleansing. Great beach-people-watching! Very unique in that you see two completely different countries from this place. Walk out onto the west-facing balcony for a breathtaking Northern California ocean view, then walk out onto the east-facing deck for a landscape of rich farmland of rolling hills dotted with cattle. Even the light is different from eat to west... The grey-greens of the ocean with black boulders against the waves making ocean spray for a constant mist in the air on the west, contrasted with the golden tan of sunbaked fields, evergreens and blue sky on the east. Its impossible to capture the beauty in pictures, because of the sounds, smells and feels you get along with the view. We loved it!

—Robert and Susie, July 2019

“Probably the most breathtaking view of any airbnb on the west coast.”

Words really can't describe the view from the deck. hosts and quick to answer any questions. Would book again!

“Beach getaway.”

Me my wife and my two little girls stayed for the weekend. We were able to see sea lions and sea otter. And at low tide we climbed around the tide pools and found starfish, crabs, and anemones. The whole trip was a great success.

“AMAZING!!!”

AMAZING!!!!! Cannot say enough about this property. The master bedroom opens up to the back dock, overlooking the ocean. You can hear the waves crashing on the rocks below as you fall asleep. The hot tub is on the front deck, blocked from the ocean view but also from the cold wind blowing in off the ocean. You barely hear the occasional car pass by and the area is secluded enough you still feel complete PRIVACY. At night the sky is lite with stars and during the day there is a small beach (only a few cars can stop here as there is no parking lot) less than a minute walk away. Cheryl, the owner, is EXTREMELY gracious, acting almost more like a hotel concierge than "just some faceless person you rent a house from". Once confirmed, she sent us a lengthy email with all sorts of travel tips and recommendations for the area, including restaurants, wineries and places to picnic. Can't comment on her recommendations, as we opted to stay in the house to relax and take in the peaceful beauty of the view. We did drive back to the small "town", maybe a 5 or 10 minute car ride, to grab lunch one day at The Fishetarian Fish Market, which has outdoor sitting that is pet friendly. HIGHLY recommend this place, fish tacos to die for and I've allows said "fish don't belong on tacos", well they proved me wrong. My only tip is, bring beach towels. Two towels are provided in each bathroom, so no towels for the hot tub and no dryer to dry towels if you use your bath towel when ya go in the hot tub. But that was on us, as the accommodations say nothing about beach towels being provided or a dryer on site. This was by far one of our most relaxing vacations to date, and we highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to get away and relax!!

“Maximum relaxation!”

My husband and I rented this house for a quiet getaway. We found Cheryl's house to be a peaceful retreat with indescribable views and a location that can't be beat! The entire house is filled with the sights and sounds of the ocean. Just steps from the beach, and a short drive from many local attractions, yet secluded and private. Cheryl was a perfect host - great communication and looked after all of our needs. We are definitely planning on coming back!

“Fantastic views.”

We have never stayed in a VRBO where the owner was so responsive, helpful and informative. Her recommendations for the area's best clam chowder, hiking trails, and local wineries made our trip quite memorable. The ocean views from the rental were simply incredible rain or shine. The fire pit was inviting, as well as a soak in the hot tub after a day's adventures. As a bonus, we also spotted sea lions and whales spouting on the horizon. The unit was well equipped and very clean. We highly recommend this rental especially if you enjoy the sound of the surf and crave relaxation.

“Wonderful house, amazing ocean views and beach access, great hosts!”

We rented this place with family visiting from the East Coast, and it was absolutely wonderful. The surrounding area—Bodega Bay, Jenner, many amazing beaches—is gorgeous, and there's plenty to explore, but it was sometimes hard to leave the house, it was so relaxing and peaceful and lovely! We spent hours on the deck, which has a fire pit and overlooks the ocean and the beach below. Speaking of which, there was great tide-pooling at low tide. Our host, Cheryl, was extremely helpful and communicative throughout our stay, and the recommendations she sent at the beginning helped set us up for a wonderful vacation. One thing we missed was a tea kettle, so that would be a good addition (unless we somehow overlooked it?). But we had an amazing visit and would absolutely love to stay here again! And our dog loved it too!!

“Amazing views from this cozy cottage.”

I can't say enough about both the property and about Cheryl. First, let me summarize what it IS NOT and what it IS:

- This property is not a super high-end, modern luxury home.

- This property is a charming retreat that you'll want to return to.

With that out of the way...this cottage sits right on the Pacific Ocean with amazing views. We spent hours on the patio watching the waves crash against the rocks below, spotting wildlife in the waters below, taking in breathtaking sunsets and watching the moonlight dance over the water as we sat around the fire pit. We topped off the day with a soak in the hot tub. The house has everything you'll need for a relaxing weekend - it was clean, well stocked and even had a few beach chairs if you wanted to chill on the sand. The location was perfect: overlooking the ocean, just a 2 minute walk to the beach and about a 10 minute drive into town. You're removed from the traffic and crowds of Bodega Bay - not that they are huge to begin with - but can easily pop in for a meal or supplies. This property is also pet-friendly, which is a major plus. Now let me tell you about Cheryl. I've used VRBO for vacation rentals for years. I've rented in Hawaii, Mexico, Lake Tahoe, Montana and this was BY FAR the best experience I've had with an owner. Cheryl was very responsive with her communications and put up with all my crazy questions about the property. She was very accommodating and prompt with financial matters. Would I rent this property again? Absolutely. We are already planning our next getaway with friends and this will become our go-to Bodega Bay location. If you're looking for a relaxing weekend on the coast (literally!), this property should be at the top of your list.

“Location, location, location!!”

As everyone before me has mentioned you cannot find a better home right on the coast in the middle of all that is happening in Sonoma County! We thought it would be farther away from all the locations we went to (Armstrong Woods, Sonoma, Geyersville, Sausalito, Sebastopol, etc) but everything was within an hour or so. We made the most of our short trip there and loved all the scenic routes we took each day. Coming back to the house on the cliff in time to witness the sunset was the perfect nightcap! There were 4 of us and we only used the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. It worked out really well. The guys made a fire in the firepit one evening and stayed out on the deck past midnight enjoying the rolling waves. We didn't spend a lot of time at the house but did make a few breakfasts each morning there. We didn't use the hot tub at all either so can't comment on that. We all agreed we would stay here again if we returned to the Sonoma Valley area.

Spent four nights at this wonderful home over the Christmas vacation with our children and spouses. A bedroom and bath for each couple. And the endless viewing of the ocean with a commanding view of the ever changing surf. Best ever time with our family. Owners were very helpful in making the arrangements and providing us with information about the best places to eat and get to know the area. You will not be disappointed.

I could not be happier! Cheryl was wonderful to work with and helpful and responsive. And I dare you to find a better view! If you were any more on the ocean you would be in it! The house is extremely comfortable and clean and enjoys a fantastic location. The layout of this property is special in that there is an entirely private spacious bedroom with en suite bathroom downstairs on the entry level floor with the private hot tub right out the door. The kitchen has everything you need, and we especially enjoyed the firepit with the immaculate views right over the ocean. I mean you just cannot get any more ON the ocean! Views from every angle of the family room! The beach is less than a three minute walk! The beds are super comfortable! The master bedroom is spacious enough with an en suite bathroom, and the second upstairs bedroom is immediately adjacent to the second large bathroom with a deep bathtub/shower combo. When we were there it rained a bit, but the house was plenty large enough for six adults. I plan on making this an annual Thanksgiving getaway. The layout of this home is nicely laid out and it was decorated nicely for a rental home. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with the tools to make a wonderful meal. There are many things to do in the area and it is centrally located to do so. “Front row seats to an amazing ocean experience!”

This property offers more than just amazing views. It is a true experience for all of your senses. You are literally perched (comfortably) above the whitewater while miles of waves up and down the coastline crash into the craggy rock islands and headlands. Even better that your front row seats allow you to cozy up to a fire pit with an incredible sense of privacy and exclusivity. The interior offers all of the cabana comforts (beach vibe--not fancy) you'll need in between your outdoor sensory overload sessions. It was an added (necessary) bonus to bring our furry kids. A walkable beach is just steps away, while perfectly situated rocks and cliffs discourage beachcombers from lingering directly below the house and your views. There are several good dining options in nearby Bodega Bay and Jenner, though we opted to cook most meals in as we didn't want to stray too long from our front and center primo seats (there is no intermission). We look forward to returning!

Cheryl's place in Sereno del Mar is a sanctuary. Green pastures and cows on one side and crashing waves on the other. The layout allows views from every room. Location is super quiet (even though it is located right on highway one) but very centrally located between Jenner and Bodega Bay. The Sonoma Coast is very rugged and beautiful. Yummy food, very comfortable and clean. There is a fire pit, unfortunately the fire starter packet was empty. I was able to get a fire going with a leftover log but definitely bring more kindling and extra fire starter. It will get going even if windy. Spectacular in every way . . . right above the cliff overlooking the Pacific. Perched above the rocky coast with amazing views, it was the perfect location for traveling Coastal California Highway 1. We have stayed in this home several times and will continue to stay here each time we visit Bodega Bay! Positives: This house is on a cliff just above the beach. The water is yards away! Unbeatable ocean & beach views from the wrap-around deck – we love to sit out there with a glass of wine in the afternoon & evening, even in winter. Great sunsets and sunrises! Sound of ocean waves throughout the home – great to fall asleep to! Two minute walk to the beach! Fire pit on the deck! Hot tub! Cozy gas fireplace. So many, many stars in the night sky. Large fully equipped eat-in kitchen with very tranquil view of the farm across Hwy 1. Large outdoor dining area on deck outside kitchen. Short drive to Bodega Bay shops & restaurants. Amazing to see the difference in low and high tide ~ sitting on rocks in low tide you can't even see during high tide! A beautiful house with an abundance of natural light through the main living space and kitchen windows. The kitchen was large which was great as we had six people. Nice fire pit on the west side was great to take off the chill of the evenings. A house book on the table was very helpful and explained and answered all questions. We will use again in the future!

“Very nice view of the ocean and sky. Relaxing evenings with fire.”

We really enjoyed this home during June. It was surprising that the temperatures were much cooler than expected. This helped in the evenings when we started a fire in the firepit and bundled up in blankets to enjoy the evening and the stars. This is a very nice and relaxing area. The house is comfortable. All that we needed was there. However, the hot tub was broken until the last 2 days but the owner stayed in touch and made it up to us. There are many very good things about the house and we probably will return again. However, it is not immaculate. The grill was an old propane grill but is not able to operate that way. There are areas that could use some paint and repair on the outside, but the inside is in good shape. The only cell phone coverage is Verizon it seems. The internet is good via a Verizon hotspot but this does not extend to the third bedroom. The owner stayed in touch daily which was nice and helpful. The area is very laid back with some nearby sites to visit. Overall, it was enjoyable and we look forward to returning.

“Great location and views.”

This house has a great location about 10 minutes north of Bodega Bay, right on the water and next to a dog-friendly beach. The views really couldn't be better. The owners are very responsive and helpful. There is no cell service other than Verizon cell service, but the owners have installed a jetpack to give people with other carriers service. We had a few issues with it, but it overall worked very well for iphone use. The hot tub is modern and works well. It's extremely quiet and dark at night, and even the non-ocean side has pretty views. Love that this place is dog friendly- although there was no sign dogs had been there- was very clean. Minor cons: the kitchen is fine, but could be stocked a little better with cooking items. The fire pit is great but its location and the wind makes it hard to use unfortunately- nothing that can be done about that. One thing we found odd was that the house is billed as a 3br/3ba and priced that way. We were only two people and didn't need the third bedroom, so I guess they knew that and just didn't make it available? It was locked/inaccessible to us. Just seemed weird since technically we did rent the entire house. You may want to be sure if you need the third bedroom that they know to leave it open.

The house was cozy, charming, and in a perfect location. I needed a getaway close to nature and we couldn't have picked a better place. The ocean views are unbelievable and the front view of the house had all the green I needed to see! Cheryl was a pleasure to deal with. She was helpful and quick in her responses. I got the relaxation I needed and I just can't wait to go back. p.s. My dogs enjoyed the house as well and the beach.

“Breathtaking views!”

I rented this beach house as a gift to my husband for his 40th birthday and we had a fantastic time. It was certainly the nicest vacation rental we have ever stayed in, with gorgeous views and a very quick and easy walk to the beach! The views of the beach are just breathtaking and made me want to sit outside the whole time, and hearing the sounds of the ocean all throughout the day was lovely. The kitchen was well-equipped for eating in, and we were also close to various restaurants and places to hike. My husband enjoyed cooking on the grill while watching the sunset, and I enjoyed warming up in the hot tub at the end of the day. The house was also child-friendly for the two 4 year olds we had with us. I would definitely want to stay here again!

“Great get-a-way.”

Cheryl (owner) is a pleasure to work with... Great communication -- she was quick to respond to questions and provide helpful information for our stay. The cottage is in a great location with wonderful views and a very quick/easy walk to the beach. The living space is small so accommodating 6 adults comfortably to watch TV/play games is a challenge, but having 3 bathrooms is a plus. Would stay here again!

“I felt like family with them.”

Cheryl and Hobart were amazing. They opened their home, gave us wine, food and were incredible hosts. The places pictures do not describe the place. Breathtaking views, close to town and really a five start place. I felt like family with them.

“Best views and beach just steps away!!”

We thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay at this lovely home. The views are quite possibly that best of any home we've ever rented on the Sonoma Coast. The upper level is quaint but and hosts two bed/two bath + the living room and kitchen. There is a third "apartment" on the lower level with it's own coffee maker and bathroom, but it is not accessible from the inside of the main living area (only from outside). The deck was a perfect location for enjoying the waves and sunset, and the firepit made evenings fun. The BBQ looks like it was once propane but now requires charcoal. The beach is just steps away and perfect for morning walks. We look forward to returning to this home!

“What a fantastic experience this was.”

The location of the home is wonderfully nestled between rolling hills of farmland and the endless views of the ocean. It was truly beautiful. Add to that a fire pit, hot tub, and plenty of space to get cozy, and it's hard not to have a wonderful time. Cheryl and Hobart were warm and inviting- greeting us with friendly chit chat, a cheese plate, and wine. The next morning Cheryl whipped up some awesome omelettes and fresh fruit. She was attentive and took care of our diet restrictions. I definitely look forward to returning, as this was the perfect weekend getaway.

“Highly recommend!”

Hobart met us right away at the lovely Oceanfront Home. He and Cheryl made us feel at home with choice of wine and a cheese platter. Views of the ocean were spectacular -- the BEST in Bodega Bay! Our room was comfortable and neat. Hallway bath was large, clean and private for us. Hobart and Cheryl really topped things off with breakfast cuisine -- homemade and delicious!

“We had a great time in Bodega Bay!”

Cheryl and Hobart were very nice and helpful. When my boyfriend and I arrived they greeted us with wine and cheese and suggested multiple places to eat. Their deck had a perfect view of the sunset, seals, and surfers, and a one minute walk to a small beach. After our delicious dinner, we used the hot tub and listened to the waves with their fireplace on. The next day they had made us and the other couple a great breakfast with pancakes and fresh fruit! Overall, we had a great time and Cheryl and Hobart were very accommodating and friendly.

“The house literally overlooks the ocean for a view you can't beat.”

It was wonderful staying at Cheryl and Hobart's house. The house literally overlooks the ocean for a view you can't beat. We got to enjoy the fire pit and even watched the Giants playoff game together along with wine and cheese. It was a great quick escape and I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great weekend retreat.

“A magical place!”

Cheryl & Hobart were star hosts and their home was a true oasis of wild beauty, warmth and serenity. A magical place! We felt at home right away, and blissed out in the hot tub looking over a ranch, by the fire pit overlooking the Pacific Ocean, and even splashed in the waves the next morning after homemade breakfast (quiche and fruit, yum) set up by Cheryl and Hobart. I had been hesitant initially to spend a weekend retreat in a shared home (we booked their upstairs room), but these are *fantastic* people to share home with. Fun, relaxed, generous, and gave us a great blend of space and friendly convo. Honestly, the photos don't do justice to the beauty of their home and the wild beauty of the ocean right below the balcony. You will feel soaked in nature and peace.
